meister's have quite a solid rep in the uk. alot of the A.O.C. guys have them and have nothing but good things to say about them.
i dont see how a $1k price tag can justify them being "high end"...

if you mean shaving the head to bump compression, i believe the sr16ve n1 head had a fair bit shaved off it standard.
