AC kicks off and on when at MAX AC
I replaced the compressor n accumulator, and recharged the system. it blows cold, however the AC will not stay n when set to max AC. It works fine in 1-4, however it will kick on and off at max AC.

The car's AC never worked, I bought it like that. Now that it does work, I want to fix that last problem. Any ideas?

Also replaced the dryer/receiver and o-rings with the system.

I would think its not the blower motor since the air keeps blowing at a constant rate, the compressor shuts on n off every second or so though.

For it being relays, I don't know what relays to mess with and where they are. Any more info on that?

Sure you don't have a leak in the line someplace? I know when I had a leak that when I started to get low on refrigerant that the compressor would kick on and off intermittently, getting worse as I had more and more missing. You may just need to add more refrigerant as a quick fix till you can figure something else out.

^I think this might be his case. I'm in the process of re-doing my A/C system. It is a lot to look into actually. I just ordered all new o-rings and a new dryer/receiver from rockauto and I will be replacing them on the whole system. The hardest part will be getting to the evaporate core. Here is a link to my thread in progress.

I had the AC system checked out before I replaced the compressor. the shop said the system had no leaks, and the previous compressor would do the same thing. the o rings were replaced, as well as the line that runs in front of the radiator. I am thinking it a switch or wiring or something?

^Did they replace the o-rings on the evaporator core? Maybe you don't have a leak, but I'm curious to know if they replace those, and if so, how much did they charge?

Get an Unorthodox Racing underdrive pulley for your AC system.

It will stop the constant cycling. No kidding.

Here's the thread. In it I ask why the AC is working better after upgraded fans (X2) and a 3-peice UR pulley set was installed. Mechanically smart folks answer why.

Underdriving the AC will cause the AC to NOT cycle.

My current AC, with the new refridgerant R-whatever combined with the 3-peice UR set and new 10" Spal fans, blows colder, and more consistently, than it ever did from the factory.

Check your relays, or it could be an overcharge of the system as well.
