If this was my old motor, I'm actually uncertain to EXACTLY what has, or not been done to it with regards to definite 'work'.

As far as block work, I did pay for quite a few things to get done by a respected NZ Nissan 'Guru'; the reality is that it was very different to what I paid for, so different that the work was needed to be 'done' again, you could say as if it had never been done to start with. But that's for the mechanic to deal with his own lack of integrity and ethics. At least I would have kept the workshop in profit for a couple of months.

Also, if it is my old motor the original 'worked' head has been removed and another replaced it before you would have got it; the next owner did the smart thing and replaced it with a known, and quality worked from standard head.

Due to it being re-built after me owning it, you'll need to ask the last owner what he has had done to it.

Naw, not your old motor. I bought it from Bazza1600, SR16VE, ages ago. Sold it to coZZmo and he sold it to Autech

Not that I care or anything but I would never have drilled holes in perfectly new crank bearings... I'd think that new as they were they'd perform better than with the drilling, etc.

No, I know the idea is well based, but I'd be afraid to try and modify that for myself.

I mean, people boost DEs and Avenir / Bluebird DETs without this type of bearings and it is not detrimental. It looks your build is only N/A so was there a real need?
