And yes the Clutch Inspection place is between the tranny and the engine as well as the dowels on each side (2 if I remember correctly and I used them to guide the tranny up to the crank) I'll be starting to pull the tranny this weekend and hopefully have it done by middle of next week if not next weekend (working full time doesn't allow me to devote nearly as much time working on car's as I would like) and keep this thread posted with my progress

So I took the tranny off today, turns out everything was on correctly but the brand new TOB I put in failed (the inner part of the bearing broke off and got stuck between the clutch disc and the pressure plate), so since my OEM clutch has a lot of life on it I'll be using the new pressure plate with the OEM disc and a new TOB, which should be here tomorrow night. I'll have pics and video up of everything when I'm done

Took the tranny out and this is what I found

This is what I get for going cheap on a clutch kit, needless to say, I learned my lesson. Ordered a Timken TOB from Autozone and got everything in and bolted up, took it for a ride last night but noticed I'm leaking what looks like oil (more minor bugs) so that will need further investigation but it pulled hard and went into gear as it should! I'll have video of me popping VVL for the first time after I address whatever it is I'm leaking and wire VVL in!

It rev's so well and idles almost normal too! I soo want to take this thing out for a spin and wire in VVL! I'll keep you guys posted

The TOB that was in my car when I bought would grind when I would put the clutch in (the TOB bearing was pretty shot, like an old roller skate) but as long as it engages and you're not burning it up it should last until it gets warm, i'm NEVER doing a motor swap in winter again though that's for sure

So lynch are you using the wire from the dizzy for the tach signal or did you go through the firewall and tap into the blue/orange wire coming off the ecu? I want my window switch under the hood so tapping into the dizzy would be much easier

ok listen, what switch you using? the summit? mount that bitch in the glove box if so.. trust me it gets annoying having to reset the switch.. they are very cold sensitive..

another thing, never use the signal from under the hood.. its garbage an always fucks up.. use the tach signal from under the dash bro.
