107mph is great, not many bolton VVLs can do that. So maybe 2450 with driver, shows what 220whp can do. what was your tq Cory??

yea im @ 98.5mph in the 1/4 and making only "180whp" so 107 is really nice for sure.. i wonder how much the weight really comes into play? i havent weighed my car but its pretty basic right now so im guessing its in the 2550 range with me in it.

I only added 100lbs to cory car weight, so he might be where u are in weight. Have u check yor knock sensor?? Mph seems kinda low. What is your 1/8mile mph? I remember with my vvl I would be at 80mph with 194whp.

78.xx mph in the 1/8th @ 9.0 and the 1/4 was 14.0 @ 98.xx mph

my car has a sunroof, full interior, gutted trunk no spare no jack, deleted the abs completely, never had a/c or c/c plus the ve is a tad lighter then a de i think an not to mention i've removed some brackets an shit from the engine.. But i have NX brakes and B14 wheels so theres a little + weight

i do believe i have some missing whp, tq seems pretty close.. maybe a few tq's but not much, its the whp that bothers me.. i had to pull alot of timing to gain any power, went from 35* at the top to 29*.. i have compression checked the motor all cylinders are 230 and the cam timing is perfect 15* on the dist is pretty much dead center like it should be..

i think my ssac isn't lining up right an causing flow issues OR my dist is going out causing me to have to pull timing.. thats my thoughts anyways.. could just be my engines a sissy la la Or the dyno's a big fat liar lol but i dont think its the dyno since my friends sr16ve put down 159whp which from what i read is pretty decent.

Just updating here:
Last Friday total 3" straight-out (no catalityc-no nothing) exhaust was installed. My current tuning table it's according to some regulations we do have to pass in order to get a 1 year free sticker permission so still pending take the car to the dyno and scare the crap out of it. Meanwhile, my never ending search for a 4" intake tube is on the way, hopefully to find it out this week so we can attach a 4" inlet and 6" outlet stack.

Pre-dated dyno visit set for July 23rd can't wait!

Stratton, not nice, even though I used to deal with him and he's not here, and left a real sour taste in alot of peoples mouths. He still has 110% more knowledge than 99.99% of the people on this forum. This dude knows his shit, people have bought a ton of headers and even motors from him.
