dre, i wonder why you didnt go with a mm or a half mm smaller. for the simple reason if the same problem occurs or something else happens and some how manages to damage the piston walls theres no room to re-bore and hone.

then at the point youll have to resleeve a block.

i know you know this, just curious why you opted to not go the safer route.

i was thinkin the same, but to each their own... maybe he got the hookup on sleeved blocks, would be nice

If all is done correctly there should be no worry. Back racing in the ITR series we would take our motors out to the limit for bore on stock sleeves with no issues for years.

Once it is machined and balanced correctly with the proper tuning support he will be fine.
