VE vs DE w/aftermarket cams
I'm in the searching process for an engine build. I have a DE block and would like opinions on going the VE head route or just installing cams in the DE head I already have. There is a lot to consider, price, power, parts, head flow, compression, etc. Any and all advice is much appreciated,

I would say that overall you'd be better off with a VE head & VE oil pump and call it a day..

It has everything to do with what kind of power you are looking for.

DE with cams is very similar to stock VE. Not by looking at dyno numbers, but real performance. But with actual low SR20VE prices i would just buy VE and sell DE engine/parts. With VE, you will have more room for improvents in future.

you know, i have always heard that sr20de with less power will beat sr20ve. you seem to be implying same here. can you expand?

always hear that sr20de has better torque curve than the sr20ve etc. or is it that sr20de (mod for mod) have better power band than sr20ve? so a 190whp sr20 de will have better torque and power curve than a 185whp sr20ve

can someone please clear this up?

i am yet to prove this

peace
