i think people want ot see dyno numbers with n1's a good tune and 3 inch ehxuast.

stratton.

I don't see why it was a big issue with the other 3 letter header.

First off you will never see what any addition to performance will be if you think it's a straight bolt up and the numbers are there. For any cam, header, compression bump,etc.. you have to play with the settings to get the most out of it. I honestly believe that tuning is necessary to find there full potential.

That's totally true!

If we put the header on with N1cams, tune and 3" exhaust, what are we going to use as a basis to compare it to?

Honestly a test of stock motor, then a test with header and exhaust will probably give a better honest baseline of what the header does. With the other mods is already guaranteed to make more power.

Most people that are interested in one of these headers will already have a tune with N1 cams and a 2.5" or 3" exhaust. I'm sure there aren't many people out there running VE's with a stock exhaust and stock intake.

The thing is people want to compare different headers. Like the ASP smashed the ebay knockoff on some peoples dyno charts, and some other people had a different outcomes. The only way to really compare is to dyno another header on the same day on the same car.

That tune will be out of wack with the change of the header if the header flows differently. when you go from a ssac to a fuji the cars run leaner with the same setup and the camgears setup change also. To my experience the ssac header run better with 0 intake -2 exhaust, same car with the fuji changed to +5 intake -2 exhaust and we were able to advance ignition timing. We got up to 210 whp and 156-158 torque with the stock 2.0 intake manifold

Truth!

If anyone has spent countless hours on the dyno with VE's it is this man right here.

When my car was NA way back when with the a Fuji header I was at 203 whp. When I put on my Kesi 24 header on the car lost 10 whp all way round with the Fuji tune. It took about 2 hours of tuning to get the car back to where it was. I was not going to blame the header for losing power until the car was tuned.

Way to many people bank on a "tuned" ECU and just slapping on parts to make power. I can not stress how important it is to have these cars tuned. So many people are dissapointed with their numbers but, very few invest the time to have the cars tuned.

Many of the guys in FL including myself went to the track and trapped 100-101 mph with bolt on VE's with SR16 non N1 cams. I see many N1 cammed cars not hitting 100 mph. It's all in the tuning.

Props to the boys at Mazworx.

so why not test it on a stock motor against the ssac. i bet they will be very simmilar results..

then put the N1 cams in and test both headers again...

the 4-1 headers really dont make huge gains over the ssac until we are using large N1 cams
