Seco?
I just got my VE motor, and pre swap here checking over what I have to do the change. One item I just received in the mail is a pressure plate. I have the 00-01 sentra SE disc brand new, and a brand new pressure plate, but the pp brand is a seco? Anyone ever heard of them? Just making sure it would be ok to use with my ve.

When I worked on Tasha's VE swap it was very straight forward. We had to splice and lengthen a connector for the IACV and cut the lower leg on the DE distributor. We had to lengthen the knock sensor but you shouldn't have to do that because ours was damaged. Lastly we had to modify the TB bracket/pulley a little (when you compare them you will see what I'm talking about. Also you need to buy two 1/2" to 3/8" adaptors for the heater core hoses as they are bigger on the VE. Double check me on the sizes.

I think other than that it was just like any other DE swap. You can wire in your cam switch and get another ecu later... the car will run fine. The first thing you will notice is the change in the exhaust note upon startup... the VE sounds awesome. If you are using a DE header make sure you bore out the exhaust flange to match the exhaust ports because they are a little bigger.

That's all that I remember off the top of the dome. As far as your clutch I don't think it matters but we just swapped over what they had.

Perhaps it is you who should stop post whoring, causing me to feel the need to respond in kind

The engine comes mid next week - and I still haven't got the 00-01 disc in the mail yet. So might not be for a bit still.

Tokes, without the computer, doesn't a guy run the risk of running really really rich? I thought on a stock de cpu the injectors and timing is way off to the point of not being worth the bother of running until the calum is in?
