@eggman - It's just some spotting on the surface, but it feels the same as the top part of the primaries if you rub your hand across that area. It's probably from the water hitting up against it from the road and it drying real quick causing it to do that. Top portion still looks good. I have some more updates to post in my thread tomorrow.

P.S. When you put the car in reverse, did you get any vibration then? I still get a little bit if I back up really fast. I got to get under there again and double check everything. Pffffff.

^^ no vibration forward or reverse.Thats using all prothanes.Maybe you have softer mounts. If it vibrates in reverse, its usually a mount letting the motor move and make contact somewhere.
This header is going on another car sometime soon, which has JWT mounts(a little softer than prothanes)so we will see if my results are the same.

^That's what I was thinking. I might need to put a protane in the rear. I have the protanes at the front of the cross member.

I have all 4 prothanes in mine

Modified Brace

Rear Contact, Ive pushed an exhaust rubber in where the arrow points

Vband/Brace

Every header will have slight variations though, as they are all hand made...

I wish I know about the fitment issues before I bought one for my b14 awhile back. I probably would have just used the ssac and saved myself close to $400.

When you buy ASP you are paying for R&D,and a person to hand weld them,as opposed to them being made in a robotic chinese jig.

I payed 8x as much as an SSAC for it,and it has some minor fitment issues.
But,It sounds and performs awesome...and I like custom parts, rarer parts.
I like my ASP header alot, and have no regrets, except maybe that I didn't pony up for the Vband.

How much did or do these cost???

The ones on there website are $1,549.99 and up. Yowzaa!!!

What is the difference between the budget and the one on the website?

I know everyone mentions budget, but, I never heard of this "budget" header and I know little about it except everyone having small issues with it. This is why I bought one form eBay, I expected fab work so I might as well as pay cheap to do more work that was originally undesired.

Now paying for R & D is great but when you have fitment issues, I think "wtf did I just pay for again?".

Here is the original group buy thread.I m not sure if you can still buy the budget heder anymore thanks to a munch of BS tht rn snickers off.
Its a shame,he seems very knowledgable about our engines. Not to mention the highend cars he builds headers for(like Porsches, etc)
