Can anyone confirm if the MTX-L will hold it's calibration if you disconnect the battery and reconnect later?

thanks

This is what my LM-1 sensor instructions say, it is old, but I can't imagine it has changed.

This is the oppposite of what my LM-1 sensor instructions say, see above.

Does the MTX-L have an internal battery of any sort? My LM-1 has a standard 9v, though I don't seem to remember having to recalibrate it after removing the 9v battery.

I don't think the MTX-L has an internal battery. I guess I'll find out on startup if it's still calibrated or not.

As for heating up the sensor prior to starting the engine up, I quote from section 2.3 page 6 of the MTX-L user manual:

"It is NOT a good idea to do a sensor prewarm-up prior to starting the engine.
Depending on the climate and the sensor position in the exhaust, condensation can
form in the exhaust pipes. This condensation could then be blown by the exhaust
stream against the hot sensor when the car is started. The resulting heat shock can
permanently damage the sensor."

It will be fine because there is no power going to it, it only need to reconfigure if you disconnect the o2 from the meter and apply power.

Thanks guys. And yes the calibration stayed after battery disconnection.

And just some feedback onthe MTX-L. I'm very happy with it. Works easily, fast and accurate. I managed to get my newly built motor up and running and got it on a safe tune now thanks to knowing what the AFR's are doing. Soon as I noticed any detonation, I could see if the AFR was the problem or not. If the AFR's were good, I knew I had to pull timing at that load/rpm site on the map. Bit of trail and error but after 2-3 trips she's running nicely. It's running pretty strong, even given the fact that I'm being very conservative on timing.

LC1 and MTX-L are really great!
