Thread: built in 2step?

There should be an outline of that notch on the chip that is on the board. If you installed the chip backwards then theres a good chance you burnt the program off of them and they will have to be reflashed. I got mine reflashed for $30

Im not familiar with that board, but if you look just under the chip, on the end with the notch, you should see a notch in the socket to suit, if its at the other end, then carefully pry the chips out (slow and steady, a little bit at a time from both ends so you dont bend pins) and put them in the other way. Only do this if you can clearly see the notches dont line up.

The chip orientation is fine. The notch is silkscreened onto the back side of the PCB where it shows the location of the chips.

can someone that is familiar with this type of board/chips pm me if you know how to work on them. i need to get these reburned and installed asap.

The problem its that you need to figure out what its causing the problem it could be either the board, the chips or it could be an installation problem. I am familiar with those boards but I dont have any to replace that one if its bad...

I agree, i have burnt chips wrong before and it does exatly that, or if the bin is modified wrong it will do the same. From what i have heard the 2 step does not work with B14's / OBDII ECUs. He might have changed something else while trying to enable it.

ya it seems that all b14 boards are hard to come by right now.

Whoever you bought it from tell em to re-burn you some chips.
