Yes you need the B14 XDF to be able to modify it.

Sweet. I had no intention of starting her without the wideband running. I'll probably start with my fuel pressure high also, just to be safe. We need a catalog of bin files or something, I feel like this info is all spread around and could be condensed. I suppose you are working on that sticky already.

Yup yup . I have some bin files that Calum gave me and some that I found on the forums. I just feel icky combining tunes for someone because I don't know how it will act in their setup.

Once we are able to upload .bin files though I'll start posting them in the sticky.

I have a question on the driver, is it the d2xx or the VCP driver that I should download? And when I get to the point to connect the ecu it won't erase the bin thats on it will it?

I believe it is the VCP one, and your tune should be untouched.

I am really confused by the different bins floating around. I have several different 370cc 4bar bins that I people have emailed me, and all of them seem to use different values for the K value, scaling constant, and latency.

For example, Calums base tune that Vadim posted (I also found the same bin on the old forum posted by calum) has some crazy values, IIRC, K value = 399, scaling const = 419.3, Latency = 0.75.

Other programs have stuff like: 207, 550.38, 0.59... Whats up with that? I know I could build a setup with a knock sensor to test latency, but that seems like a lot of work and money for something that should already be figured out.

I have read different latencies for 370s around the web, does this depend on which 370s I am using? I am pretty sure I have the yellow ones from a 300zx.

Pretty sure I found the issue. Finally got Conzult working with the calum realtime and found that the ECU is reading 4.92 volts from the z32 MAF with just the key turned on.

So either my ground wiring sucks or my z32 is shot.

EDIT: had the wrong connector plugged in. Took her for a late night spin, the Calum RT with base tune for my setup seems to be WAY smoother than my JWT program.

K value = Multiplication factor for fuel

scaling const = Injector Size, used along with K value to determine the how much fuel to dump.

Latency = Injector Latency is how much the injectors wills stay open, this one only really applies at idle.

I highly suggest reading this article. It's long but explains a ton of things. I personally read it 2-3 times already .

Great info, makes me wanna snatch my dads calum RTV1 OBD1 ecu and drop a stock ECU in its place....lol...anyone know how to download the current tune off the ECU?

Nissan datascan with consult cable will let you pull the bin off of any ECU that is in your car.
