Thread: Engine swaps into B13 / B14?

First of all, new to this forum, but a bit concerned that the SR20 enthusiasts have moved on because it seems like the last posts seem to be from 2016.

Anyway, hoping that some B13 / B14 geek is still on here...

We have a 1995 200SX as a Lemons racer. Our SR20 engine died in the last race, and I can't seem to find any from the usual JDM sources. I just recently learned that Nissan stopped making this engine in 2002, so the newest engine is already 22 years old! Makes sense.

Does anyone out there have experience doing any other swaps into this chassis? The successor motor, the Qr20 / QR25 would be out there in larger numbers because they were used in Altimas and Rogues, but I heard they are wider and won't fit between the frame rails of the B13 / B14. Can anyone out there confirm this?

Any other suggestions about good engines to swap into the B13/B14?

As for the engine, there should be plenty of FWD SR20s still available that you can swap in. Sooo many options. You could hit the easy button and talk to Andreas Miko (active on Facebook) or get looking at places like Car-Part.com--Used Auto Parts Market for salvaged units.
