possibly found a SE-R ( how to make an offer )
I have been driving buy a house in the town where I live for several months and there is an SE-R in the drive way that never moves it is parked on the side of the drive way away from the garage door so they can still get in and out without difficulty with over a foot of snow on it, it looks like it has springs and the funny part is that it has a econonemy style tiny out let muffler on it , and I am thinking of going up to there door and asking them if they want to sell it the body looks good , I walked up and looked at it earlier this fall and it looked pretty good , so what should my next course of action be ????

Knock on that door and just ask, if they say offer...first ask to check the car out.

Thats what I figured , but I thibk I will wait till the snow is gone that way I can inspect it better , but depending on what is wrong with it , I guess that will depend on how much I offer

But you can take that snow and use it to your advantage.

A dirty and nasty , snow filled car isn't as appealing as a fully detailed car.

Just ask to see the engine, and you already know it hasn't been driven. Chances are it prolly is gonna only need an oil change and a battery . Possibly a coolant flush.

I say knock on the door, see the engine , lowball for the best price. It's prolly their kids car who is away at college, i'm sure they could use the extra $$$$ to help pay for books n sh!t.

I am just hopping the body is as rust free as possible , I have the engine that is coming out of my nx as well as the transmission , for that matter ...so I guess I just need to go buy there and ask about the car ...

Hey i hear you on the rust. More than likely it will have the A-pillar door jamb rust ( easy fix BTW ) , and possibly the under-the-doors body rust ( also an easy fix ) . But if you knock on the door what's the worst that could hapen?

Sorry not for sale? Not likely...try it and see what happens...........

Thats the best way to get a deal,IMO.
When people are just letting it sit there, sometimes they just drop their pants on the price, just to get rid of it.
Without insulting them,I would act like you thought it was a parts car and you were "just curious about the car".
Tell them you saw it sitting there for a while, and thought maybe you could get a deal on it,so you stopped to check it out.Say you have a car like it and could use some parts off it if the price was right.
You never know...its worth a try.You are not being dishonest, just don't act all excited about finding it.If it a gem, contain yourself while you are looking at it,so you can still get a deal by acting like you are doing them a favor by taking it.
I should have my neighbors G20 soon like this...LOL...its been sitting under a tree getting moldy

theres a pocket near the door jamb thats notorious for rust since leaves and such get stuck inside it ALL the time.

check the bottom of the fenders (unless thats what amazing asian is speaking about).....

you can simply open the door and peak into the fender(lower end) and how much leaves and stuff build/pile up there lol

good luck on it ..DEFF keep us posted on this find
