Clutch question
OK for you guys out there that have changed the clutch in your SE-R before riddle me this....I just installed a new kit and have the tranny and shaft splines lined up, my question is, is there supposed to be some resistance as I tighten the tranny housing to the engine? Or, is it suppose to line up with the dowel pegs and just mount up flush without a gap?

Sometimes the tranny slides right in, sometimes you have to pull it in with the bolts. But if you are getting major resistance, something is wrong. If you are getting major resistance, double check all around for anything that might have gotten in between the engine and the tranny (for example there is a little metal hanger that is famous for doing this). Then if you are still unable to pull the tranny in loosen everything up and try to jostle and slide the tranny in again. If this doesn't work, something might have gotten fouled up inside with the throw out bearing. You will have to pull the tranny again to double check this.
