New NX?
So, I'm thinking about buying this NX, and use it as my daily when the 2.0 gets an overhaul:

It's a '91 carburetted 1.6L (about 92 BHP).

Things that need to be fixed:

Gearbox is shot
Rear wheel arches can be peeled like an orange
Rear shocks are shot

But for €550 (or $755)...

What do you guys think?

I know you guys aren't fond of bodykits, but this one is nicely done.

I know some of you may see this as rice, but changing the exterior is much more common in Europe than doing performance upgrades.

Firstly, because SRs are quite rare, compared with GA16DS/DEs, and secondly, there's almost no market for performance parts for these cars.

Parts are rare and expensive (need to be imported), even a simple DET is costly, while bodykits and the like are readily available. The only JDM car that has some support are Civics and CRXs.

This car is not overly modified, like the yellow one (still, respect for the work), theres bodykits that are MUCH worse.

A lack of performance parts available is still no excuse to do all that. Even if a person could only afford an ebay header instead of the kit/body work/paint I would rather have just a header. Just my opinion. It would be one thing if it ran and drove fine, but it needs a trans too. To me that car just has pretty much zero value unless you have a transmission around and you are bored..... and blind.

For that money its not bad, if thats $755 dollars U.S. then I would get it to fix up. (btw, that photo looks photoshop cut to me, or that paint doesnt blend well at all or hiding some horrible "ricer" graphics...lol)

The interior needs to go back to stock, that white paint crap has gotta go. White steering wheel? wtf! lol. wow. The dash area needs back to black like a.s.a.p.

The next thing is the body kit, if you like it thats cool but at minimum I would remove the door trim and smooth that line all out. I may go as far as shaving the door handle but thats kinda far....

The rims I like, cleaner than that damn interior.. lol. Thats as bad as child abuse!

The mechanical stuff isnt too bad if you can do that work yourself. I say go for it and fix the thing right! Do away with that interior and save this egg!

But how would you ever remove the front bumper?

I think you would be surprised how little aftermarket support there is for our cars over here also.
