A NX2000 Speaker Question.
I am going to put some speakers and a radio in the car.

I know 6.5 in speakers can fit in the back.

I also know that 4x6 speakers are in the front.

I want to know if 6.5 in speakers will fit in the front without any serious modifications.

Please tell me you door speaker setups and what you had to do.

get a 1/2" spacer and the 6.5 will fit in the front.

You can get 6.5 in te door by just trimming the factory 4x6 mounts slightly, and screwing them to it.It will face them up at angle a liitle bit too.I also make sure the woofer is sealed around with silicone if there are any airgaps around it.
-I have some of those factory mounts if you need them,Dre

I have 5 1/4 in the front, but I made a 1" template to keep the magnet off the window track. 6" may be a tad bit big.

I tried to put 6.5's in my back and couldn't make them fit. They were a really cheap brand so that could have played a part in that...I just bought 4 5.25in. Memphis speakers

I was able to get 6.5" speakers to fit in the front of my NX when I had one (they were CV Vega Series 6.5" speakers; these were the days ). I had built 3/4" MDF spacers. It was tight with the window rolled down all the way, requiring some creativity to route the wires out of the way of the window, but they fit without any major modification.

Yes, this is 100% true. I just did this here with my Dremel. Miko, what's your e-mail addy? I will e-mail you pics of what I did to the factory 4x6 mount for the fronts.

I am going to be running Boston Acoustic Pros 6.4LFs....only old-school here

from doing a very basic, eyeball test-fit w/o taking the rear panel off, it will look like 6.5" speakers will fit back there no problem.

Sadly I only have old school speakers to test fit. New speakers I believe are 6.5"/6.75" universal and might have a harder time fitting.

If your speakers come with a mounting ring (to put the grill on) then the ring should bolt down no problem and the speaker to the ring, maybe drilling a lil into the metal bracket back there.

I am only going to run a front stage, so I guess I'll never know
