I happen to posess the same version as the downloadable FSM for the B13, let me know if I can be of help, I'm willing to scan to a more detailed version (partly), but how I get this 5 times folded page under the scanner might be an issue

canx2k I've looked at the wiring diagram and your "test" and I can tell you what you should be experiencing. One (and only one) of the FICD pins on the plug should have continuity with the ECU ground. The other pin should have continuity with the bottom-left contact of the A/C relay (as shown in your picture).

As for which wire goes where on the FICD plug itself, I can only assume if this picture is wired correctly then the bottom (black) wire is the pin that should have continuity with the ECU ground, and the top (purple) wire should have continuity with the bottom-left contact on the A/C relay. That's just through my experience with my own ECU harness. The [ECU] grounds are consistently black (even if the other colors aren't consistent).

Does that help any?

That's what I'm wondering - because I'm getting continuity on both, I wanted the test to be done, as this tells me I have a short in one of the wires. That being said, I dont want to start cutting into the harness unless I have to, as that can have serious consequences. Also, the wires from the harness have no bearing, as they are from a different sensor on another car, which may or may not corrispond to the ficd's wiring, and should not have bearing on the wiring I have them attached to.

What continuity do you have other than the two I said you should have?

I've got continuity across ALL of the pins, both on the ficd and the IM, as well as the ficd and both sides of the bottom pins of the relay even with it unplugged. The test is supposed to tell me if that's normal, like the bottom two wires on the relay are both attached to a ground of sorts and the ficd relies on them.

I can tell you right now that is not normal. Looking at the schematic, the bottom-right connection on the A/C relay is +12v from the battery (through the fuse box). Not ground.

This is going to suck.

It looks like one is ground and once is power according to the relay, I'll test continuity on those two posts to the IM - I'm praying they aren't crossed somehow on the a/c relay.
