How's about $300.00. Tops. If it runs, has the interior in place, and is driveable. Which I doubt.

You'd have to spend a grand, at least, if you can do the body work yourself, to even make that car reasonably half-assed presentable. New pre-owned body panels, and a home garage paint job at the very least. I know someone like Borngearhead could do it, but talk about a project....

WTF on $1,500.00?!? That dude is out of his mind and is operating in a different reality.

Good luck finding used fenders for it. It probably needs a new hood, too. The bumper might be salvageable, and it needs a lower valance. Not to mention that you can't even see the rearend of the car. Fenders new aftermarket are about $100 apiece. Hood is about the same, but prob a bit more. It'll cost easily $300-400 in materials to fix the dents and get it into primer. Then you need to go buy all the materials to prep the car for paint, so you're looking at roughly $150 more. At that point you could go cheap by taking it to Maaco. And all this is assuming that you can do all the body work yourself.

Shawn knows what it costs to take it to a shop to have it redone, and it's not cheap. This guy is smoking some good sheet if he thinks he's gonna get $1500 for that "thing." A junkyard won't even give him $100 for it, so that's about all that car is worth as-is. Go offer him $100 bucks and tell him he'll never get any more than that.

If its not a complete rust bucket it may be worth $500 tops. That is if the rear strut towers arent shot or the rear rockers. I agree you will need fenders and a hood, and lower valance. Also money to fix the body or alot of time and know how.
