NX2000 T-Top Seals
Hi guys,
I've been searching, and searching, and searching, and to no avail.

I bought my NX from a friend. He discovered that both of them leaked. Sooooooo.... He put clear silicon on the outside of the T-Tops to keep them from leaking....... Yeah...

I called a few Nissan dealerships and the cheapest in the area was about $200 per side

So my question is this. Does anyone know where I can get seals for the actual windows and car for cheap?

And has anyone done them, also how hard is it to do?

PM GregV. He should be able to set you up with just about the cheapest price around...

I created a thread in his section on the other forum a day or two ago and he hasn't gotten back to me yet. I figured I'd post here to see if anyone has gone through what I have.

Nah they're still around, but because they're in such low demand, the dealerships around here have to order them from cali.

But they are able to order them, they just want my right arm and my left leg.

One dealership actually quoted me $300 per side!!!

Each side of the 91-92 NX weatherstrips that Ive seen are in 3-pieces:
. . . . one front of door/window, one behind door/window and one around T-tops.
93 NX weatherstrips are different with a long one piece design: from front of door, around the T-top and down the back of door.

Then all year NXs has the Window Weatherstrip across the top of the windows (connected to the bottom of T-Top).

I usually remove them from junk cars whenever I find a set in good condition.
Removal is fairly easy.. The weatherstrips are held in with caps, screws & a few clips located at each end & top of the door pillars. The 93 weatherstrips also has screws & clips but also has metal inserts around the T-tops (which can be difficult to release if stuck). Gently rock the lever to release the inserts.. Make sure that the pillar drain holes are cleared of debris...

So the only tools required would be a screwdriver and strong fingernails? That seems simple enough. I'll have to find an egg with decent t-tops in a junk yard.

Thanks man.
