Yeah I am going through the 6spd swap thread on the old forum now. It is looking like the 04-06 yr Spec V tranny is the one to get. Especially if I am boosting.

My biggest problem now is getting a vehicle to tow my car up there where you guys are. I don't think it would be wise to pay a tow truck, plus i would need a ride back to my place if we don't finish in one day. I am also thinking that I will just keep the existing tranny in while getting parts for the a/t -> m/t swap. But right now I am playing it by ear. I told my brother he needs to get a tow hitch put on his truck so he can drive me up, but he doesn't seem interested in that idea.

or do what I'm doing B15 LSD trans with a Nismo LSD and P11 Final drive



you would need a bell housing, 6-12 months wait. I've been waiting for 3 months now and it runs about $350 with the carrier bracket.

it would be cheaper on a G becuase you don't need the knucklle hub stuff. but your still looking at $1400-$1500

That wait is killing everyone huh? Shoot it may be more time efficient to just do the 5spd swap and call it a day. The 02 P11 swap is about the same price right?

if you get a P11 trans it shouldn't go over $1200

And how much is a non-LSD B15 tranny with whatever LSD you want?

Yeah, gonna just do the standard 00-02 P11 m/t swap
I feel bad cause I have a 99 LSD P11 A/T tranny coming to me(original purpose was to turn off the check engine light due to the flywheel sensor missing). Since I live in a county that doesn't check emissions it isn't as important (well I wanted LSD back).

When? I need a auto tranny for a good price ASAP!

As soon as it gets here. I was originally hoping before i order the engine to do the swap. I don't think that will happen though.

EDIT: Just ordered the engine from Tiger, I will be sure to check under the VC when it arrives. I also am getting the torque converter and hopefully the flex plate.

damn.. all this stuff is going on and im not even reading bout it.. so you wanna do a det swap with a 5 speed swap all in one day??? huh
