Here's what I'm gonna do. (Please no flaming) I already have the y-pipe mounted where the catalytic converter was, with flanges welded on so that I can easily take it off and put a converter back on. So, Jensen has my cap for the end so I can close the cutout, so I'm basically running an open header.

The cutout exits right under the passenger seat right now, but I wanna get a flange with a 90 degree bent piece of pipe welded together to do a side exit. I want this extension piece to be able to get it on and off with no problems. I just want it kinda short and light as to not put more stress on the whole exhaust as there is no hanger right now either. I need a hanger welded on near the resonator to hold it up tighter and stronger.

Now, for the ricer part. After the flange and bent tubing (with turn-down tip on the end) are made, I will need an ignition coil (anybody got one?) and stick a spark plug in near the tip to have wired to a switch to be able to light up the night.

Keo, I am looking for parts for a 5spd swap. Although I am hearing that a 6spd swap is possible.

Just to show, some of us Auto guys aren't all that thick headed (plus I can teach my wife how to drive a m/t vehicle).

6-speed is possible but your looking at $1600-$1800.

other than that, I think I can source you a 5-Speed trans or 2 with almost everything but the axle

A fellow on G20.net says he is gonna be getting an 02 P11 in a couple of weeks. Of course I could always get the parts needed now, but I really would like to use the newer tranny (if at all possible).

I'll pass on the 6spd, my wife would kill me over it if I were to spend that much (with my car not running and all).

Keo, shoot, I was reading a thread on g20.net that says the 6spd spec v tranny saves on gas (from a QR B15), how much for all the needed parts to do the swap, and how much time would that add to the engine swap itself?

I think if I show it saves gas I can spin it so the wife won't mind.

Isn't there an adapter that GregV sells but that's even more money. Plus you only want certain year SpecV trannies, cause, just like the rest of the car, it was prone to premature death.

Just get a B15 non-LSD 5spd and swap in a better LSD.
