There's been guys that have asked if they can just get the block sleeved because they can get their bore/hone etc cheaper, so this is what we offered.

Well I need a 92mm sleeved block. Can you quote me on one? I just need it ready to have pistons slid in and crank dropped it. So I guess sleeve, bore, hone. I have a block I can ship as a core. Just need a bare sleeved block to get me motivated.

Assuming you perform all services (which you should-at least the 1st two)

You're looking at $1264-1614 unless they cut you a better deal...

For the sake of comparison, I have priced out a similar (sleeved) block using the companies/shops I would use to build my engines and the price is right about $1615 or so....that includes a few extra services not mentioned here...but all and all you get the idea that a fair average ballpark is in the $1600 range for a PROPERLY worked and prepped block. Clean ready to build...

IDK how much wiggle room Mazworx has on their machining costs, but these prices don't seem to be ridiculously unreasonable IMO...

- I think my price quote for a sleeved 92mm VE block was around 1200-1400 with the shipping included coming back to me in GA. My pistons should be here in about 3 or 4 more weeks, so I'll need the updated info as well.

The 929.00 includes Darton or AEBS sleeves.

To just bore & hone a standard block is 320.00

^So for a standard DE block, after a bore/hone for 320, will the hot tanking be an extra 150?

there fully built motors are great prices. when you add up all the machine work and parts that youd buy it all comes out to the same.

Yes thats true. I just would love to purchase the block and have it ready to go on the engine stand for assembly. I then can slowly get everything else together and eventually assemble it and drop it off with the mad man to do testing. Not too many shops I can trust in the NE to do something like this without having sleeving issues. I think Mazworx has a good amount of experience in properly doing this up and saving a couple hundred at another place would probably end up costing me thousands later down the road.

Depends on what exactly you are looking for, all the prices are posted for the machining work that needs to be done. If you still need a quote, you can send an email to sales@mazworx.com

The 150.00 cleaning charge is not just a hot tank. We de-plug all the old plugs, sandblast the block, hot tank 3 times, before sleeving, after sleeving and after machining. Then we will replace all the plugs, and check all the oil passages and replace the plugs on those also. If it needs to be re-tapped, that is also included in the cleaning price.
