What would our options be if we wanted to go the custom rod route? We talking rods on par with brands like Pauter? A 19mm bearing size would be ideal for an application like this I think.

Unless it's a race application, I do not think a custom rod would make sense. I am pretty sure it is an aluminum rod that would be made, similar to that in their race car, which requires too much maintainace for a street car.

aluminum rod = no thank you. I would rather see if Powroll could do the hook up with their shrunken rods. I know a few guys that have had great experiance with them in the bike world.

There are actually 3 being done in this initial run, and I am third. Who has the other crank?
