Nice, How deep were the pioneers? Remember the model if so I can look up depth.. My current speakers are technically components so I already have the x-over location set... I couldn't find a spot I liked so theres 2 sets of wires from the door to the trunk lol. X-Overs mounted in trunk for front components, Kinda a waste of wire but worked perfect.

6.5 fits man. I got 6.5 hertz speakers that sound pretty Damn clear imho. Got em in custom sounds if you have that store locally. I trimmed the holes with a rotory and put double dynamat door kit. Fit like a glove. The tweeters are on the small black triangle shaped trim on the door. I'll take snaps once my friend gives me back my car. Sucks when u gotta borrow a friends humble sr b13 cause ur 350 whp dsm keeps going boom. Na jk he's a great pal and would do the same for me.

So here you can see I was able to remove the side pocket and speaker grill from the door panel to trim some of the plastic around the speaker. I don't know if you can do this with the B13 panels or not.....

Ground down the back of the speaker grill for a little more clearance

Test fit

Here is where I mounted my x-over

Ya his car tears up all sorts of ass hole locally! Lol. His kill list is new 5.0, ss, 370z, e46 m3 (thats when engine decided to spit out his timing belt and all 16 valves at 165 mph) kids crazy lol. And all that with a small 16g!

I personally would go with position #1 for the tweeter.

here is what I did for my tweets

Sounds great to me... I do agree that the closer the better to the mid. But that is for factory systems placement reasons. Personally I like where mine are.... sounds great.

Thanx... I have been thinking of a 3 way system with another 4" mid and 3 way cross over.
