I'll have my head unit in by then, but i doubt I'll have my amp installed... i need to fix the leak in my trunk... probably coming from my tail lights...

what i'm concerned about is getting the stock door panel back on without it hitting the rubber surround of the speaker...

I had to do very little trimming on the door panel itself, without trimming you will definitely have issues with the speaker touching..

the SL componet has been in my hard top for more than 5 yr with no issues, same goes for the other two Nx installs,, No issues at all

I did this to my NX doors 2 weekends ago, except I didn't put an MDF panel over the large holes. I just cut a really long piece of the deadener and stretched it across. I was SHOCKED at how large of a difference it really made. I used 6" aluminum roofing flashing from Lowe's! Hah, same concept. Worked wonders. Half the price. Eventually I am going to rust proof the rear of the NX and cover the entire interior in it.

This is what I have, but in 5.25". I love love love them. Again, the sound damper I put on the door really brought these to life. Covering up all of the holes in the door panel really made all the difference.

"I used 6" aluminum roofing flashing from Lowe's!"

I've heard of this but have never tried it, now I'm thinking I might. My entire car is stripped of carpet and factory sound deadner and since I dont care if its the fastest thing on 4 wheels I might do the entire car with it piece by piece over time. Mind if I ask how much it cost?
