fans not working??
Well i was checking my fans on my 91 se-r after seeing the temp gauge rise on the highway when i would really accelerate, which lead me to believe something had to be wrong.

I first flushed the system and changed the thermostat to make sure that wasn't it and it wasnt. Now when i went and popped the hood and saw that only one fan was running I figured that was the problem.....now as i played with the harness on the non working fan it came on.

This is where I tried to make a new harness, but ended up shorting something and now neither fan works. I checked every fuse and relay without one blown thing?

Anybody help me here?
btw I now just have the one fan that was working before the BLOW wired to a switch that i turn on and off

Did you try unplugging the temp sensor (red capped one, not the spade terminal)? If you unplug it and the fans still don't come on, you probably have a blown relay/wiring/ground problem. If they do turn on, you might want to change the temp sensor. Also, I was seeing my temp gauge do some funny things on the interstate and I realized that my engine grounds were crap. The gauge was rising in temp, but the actual coolant temp was stable. So I put in some new engine grounds and the gauge started working properly again.

Yeah I am going to swap out the temp sensor once i get my new slim fans and radiator.
