Thread: New box for my 2 Elemental Designs e3.6 subs (6.5")

Buddy of mine is building this box for me. Going to switch from infinite baffle (free air - subs were originally in the parcel shelf) to this new box to see how they do. Sacrificing a bunch of trunk space to do it but whatever.

Quote from the designer, "I threw this design together using WinISD and Sketchup. Usable airspace comes out to a hair over 1cf after driver and port displacement. Should be tuned to 35hz."

I'll report back what my findings are as soon as the box gets carpeted, my subs come back from ED, and I get everything tossed in the car.

That's a nice looking box man. Sacrificing the space, but having a nicely tuned box does wonders!

Not a big fan of 2 drivers sharing the same enclosure and i would move the subs as close together and as far away from the port as you can.

Are you mounting that under the rear deck?

I had the same setup for awhile. It hit hard and low. You will be very happy with the output.

Its going to be sitting in the trunk on the floor.



Dude, you have no idea how excited I am to hear that. I was a bit skeptical about the design, if it was too big, etc. But that makes me happy

I still need to add in a terminal of sorts to hook up the speakers. It's not even connected yet but just sitting in there

EDIT: What are you using to drive them? RMS @ ?ohm ?
