Best Gauges for the buck?
Okay guys, after this weekend's events, I need to re-consider the gauges currently in my "A" piller pod. The boost gauge and oil pressure gauge are both Autometer. The boost gauge is off, and doesn't read above 11psi, effectively it's a POS and needs to be replaced.

I don't feel the oil pressure gauge is working worth a damn, either. My oil pressure doesn't seem consistent with the gauge, and I don't like that feeling either.

With that being said, I'm looking for something a lot better, but not overpriced. Defi is out of the question, because I'm not buying a control box! That means Autometer Nexus gauges are out of the question as well.

As far as options, I would like them in Amber, as it's the easiest on my eyes. 52mm preferred, LED backlighting is nice.

I've been looking at the Prosports A LOT, and haven't really heard anything negative about them. They're also in a decent price range.

Throw some options at me

I've had excellent luck with VDO Vision gauges. They are pretty inexpensive, seem to be reasonably accurate, and look pretty good.

prosports are nice although i do have one of their boost guages that is a little off. It doesn't read 0...starts at like 1 or 2

I agree. There are better gauges out there, but dollar for dollar, it's hard to beat VDO. They match the factory gauges very well too.

EDIT: They come with incandescents, but you could certainly put amber LEDs in them.

I'm more in limbo now, than before. STRi gauges are up in the running, Autometer's in the mix still, SPA and VDO are also on the table. I do like the Prosport gauges, A LOT, but I just don't know if I should go with them or not.

Anyone have any experience with STRi? I remember someone said something about them, but I don't really recall who mentioned it.

I agree, the VDO are a great option for the price and they really look like the OEM
