Thread: Anyone know back hatches?

I replaced my back hatch, and this black wire doesn't have a home with the old set. Anyone mind telling me what it is? I just attached a ground wire to it and grounded it to the frame, assuming it's a body ground, but I'd like to make sure this is ok before I turn the car on.
