dont let the price fool you......from what i have read ALL OVER every audio forum these things kill. i have read they can handle 200watts rms per side. look them up on audio forums.

I and currently running the RSDs. The mid-bass is great, esp for the price, it cant be beat. But its larger then 6.5" so you may have to do some customizing. Well worth it in my opinion.

i got rid of my sub woofer so i can use all the space in my hatch back mazda3 (best feature!) and in its place i have 50SQ feet of eDead v1 and will be getting the RSD's and amping them to about 100 to 150 rms per side. i feel this will be plenty of mid bass to fill the void of missing the "thump" from a 12inch woofer. i listen to more metal than rap so i never even used the sub that much.

PHOENIX GOLD RSd65cs,,, fellas these are only 60 watts RMS,,,

look I'm not saying they are (ok) for the money but there's NO way they will handle much more than 60 watts RMS ,,,,, for very long at all ... the manufactor will tell you that,,

# Power Handling (RMS) : 60 Watts
# Power Handling (MAX) : 120 Watts

ummmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmm what sort of research have you done on this other than stating some numbers? there are many many people all over the audio forums that say these are extremely under rated speakers and they can easily handle 100rms+. quite a few have been running this for a year now.

Yeah, I don't doubt that they are underrated. My 6000's will take 100 watts all day long and they are rated at 65W RMS. It's not necessarly bad to overpower speakers a bit. I'd rather overpower a speaker than underpower it. If it's too much you can always turn the gain down on the amp. You just want to make sure the signal isn't clipped so the speaker doesn't bottom out.

it was this simple,,, for those who want to know something(ANYTHING) about a product ,,,,,,Google and type in any product to find out what it's all about!

the RS65cs are 70 watts RMS and the RS60cs are 60 RMS,,, it's got nothing to do with what all over car audio forums,, facts are facts,,, even the Octane ZR's are only 75 watts Rms those bad boys retail for $200,,, the RS65cs' are about $120 or less,,,,,,,, I sale Phoenix Gold along with a whole sleeeeewwww of products,,,

I never said these comps sets don't have a good sound, because they do but they can't handle 200 watts for any length of time... and if anybody is claiming that ,,, thats nothing but BS,,,,, don't listen to someone who has facts in front of him,,, so TRY google.com or crutchfield.com,,, straight up true facts...

besides there's no way I would choose Phoenix gold over the Infinity Kappa's and those are only 90 watts RMS but at or around $240,, I would at minimum go with the Reference 6020cs for $140 with the same RMS ,,,

well im not admitting defeat on this one however you have a much better upper hand on me seeing as how you seem to be in the audio business lol, good show.

however i have read many many threads on these comps and people seem to simply be raving about them. and when i read they were being amped to 100rms and greater the skyline came to mind and how its power was greatly under rated on paper....i dont know.

but these are what i will be going with because im a cheap bastard and the best speakers i have ever owned was a set of JBL GTO 3 way speakers i had planned on amping them to 150rms but ill take your advice and save that much more money.

^^^^^ it is true on some models that they are slightly under rated but in reality you pay for what you get,,, I was'nt trying to beat you up on this subject,, I just wanted you to know some of the facts about that particular set of speakers,,,

and like I said I sale alot of the products you guys want,, I just can't advertise very much online because of product internet police,, LOL,, because I'm a authorized deal some sales online are prohibited.... if you want a certain line ,,,pm me .. and I'll see what I can do...

PEACE
