Keyless entry remote programing
Do you need the orginal key to do this? I have a spare remote from my old 97 SE-R and I can't get this thing to work on my 98. My key for the 98 looks like a copy, doesn't say Nissan on it. I know this remote is good, I bought it on ebay last year and I got it programed to work on the 97 in 10 seconds. Battery is still good, I did the procedure as explained in the instructions.
I put the key in the ignition 10 times, but I get no blinking hazard lights, I continue on anyway. After inserting the key 10 times, I turn the key to the on possition and push the button and I hear a beeping sound each time I push the grey button. That's all I get, i'm thinking this remote doesn't work on the 98's.
