Thread: hvac control issue

The issue that I am having is that the fan speed control only works on #4. Which sucks because its so loud on 4 its unbearable. It seems to me I read about someone having the same issue but I was unable to locate that thread. Any ideas?

Replace the resistor pack on the blower motor.

Damn that was fast. Is this a junkyard item or something I should buy from the dealer or a parts store? Thanks alot.

Junk yard should work, but like yours they could fail at any time. Not sure how much they are at the dealer. But if you go to a junk yard just pull 3-4 of em just to be safe.

yea or if you go to the junkyard take a ohm meter and measure the resistance to make sure you get one that is goon on all speeds

Funny you should say that. Right as I was about to leave for the junkyard I thought of the same thing. Worked like a charm. Thanks for the awesome help guys.
