Four door B13's are even more sleeper then the two doors. Also get the diagram for the shell that you will be working with. I'm sure there might be slight variation in the electrical systems of the different model years.

^I agree. My plan is to try and go 93 1.6L with the 93 2.0L engine harness and ECU. Hopefully the 93 1.6L will have all the plugs in the engine bay by it being a 5 speed as already.

I can't remember if I ever posted in this thread.

Let's see if I can remember what I did to do this swap...

1991 NX donor, 1992 XE 4 door shell.

Honestly it was very straight forward. You shouldn't run into any problems as long as you have a donor car. It will be a pain in the balls if you have to source each individual part. I'm not even going to tell you what parts you need, because as you take your 4 door apart you will see what is different and what is not.

It basically comes down to motor mounts, axles, brakes, suspension, engine harness, transmission, engine, cluster, ecu, radiator.

I'll give you a few heads up.

1) driver side harness

match wire colors. Double check that grounds are grounds and power is power.

2) motor mounts

use SR20DE mounts

3) radiator mounts

use SER/NX radiator mounts

4) suspension

just bolt em up

5) dash harness under the radio

match colors

6) cluster harness

DO NOT MATCH COLORS. Oh my ****ing **** this was a nightmare. I thought I could just match the colors, but boy was I wrong. Unplug the harness and label each wire based on what the back of the cluster says. Use that to best guess compared to the words on the back of the SR20 cluster. You most likely won't have a EMPTY FUEL light, I know I didn't.

I think that's it...

Hey thanks for bumping this man. I recently just finished stripping my auto 4door and it has helped me find things out to compare to my 2Door SE-R that is my daily. I'm currently looking for a 93 4door Aztec Red XE or GXE that is already a 5 speed. I'll be putting a JDM DE+T in it will for show and go. I already have half the parts, and it should be a nice car once it's done.

I've put it on the back burner some getting my daily driver more comfortable to drive and it has been taking some of my real project funds. Anyway, you are the guy that put the VE on the 4Door right?

Yeah, I had the VE 4 door sleeper project.

Why do you want a 93?

The GXE is cool I guess, but you can get power lock conversion kits for cheap online. I would only get it for the sunroof, and then I would replace it with a manual roof. I imagine those cars would have electric motor issues due to age. I've never come across one though, so that's just speculation.

^You have a point on the GXE. I'll probably just stick with the XE to avoid that. I want a 93 because I have a 93 SE-R harness and ECU. I know the 91-92 SE-R's are different from the 93 and the 94 is different from them. I'm just trying to match the years up as much as possible. Maybe they did the same with the 1.6's.???? I have a 93 SE-R, so it would be nice to have two 93's.

Don't quote me on this, but I'm pretty sure the only difference is the speedo. Going to a 92 shouldn't be too hard I wouldn't think. You might have to run a wire or two for the VSS and that's it. I wouldn't be scared to try it. A little common sense goes a long way.

^No doubt, I'm pretty good at wrenching/researching/and trouble shooting. I'll figure it out and I have a few 240 and 300zx friends in my area that can help if I get stuck. This project is going to take awhile anyway because I'm going to do it right the first time around. I'm actually spending more money on my daily right at the moment. It's almost ready though I'll be updating that thread soon. Thanks for your replies. I'll be in touch bro.

I'm just collecting parts for this project at the moment. Once I find a shell I'll start putting in together.
