"Is your car supposed to be...?" is never a good question.
So the wife calls me from Philadelphia yesterday, she took the P10 to the city to avoid putting miles on the Mazda6. The call began... "Is your car supposed to be idling rough and spitting & sputtering?" as she was Westbound on the Schuylkill Expressway. Sure Hon, that's exactly the way I like it to run. I asked if the car was over heating, she said no. I asked if there was smoke pouring out from the rear, again the answer was no. I advised her to just keep going. She made it home and the car is fine.
Soooo, when I cleaned the TB the other day I removed that silly, good-for-nothing baffle and plugged the hole as I have several times before on my other SR20's. Problem being this time I failed to tighten the clamp enough and somewhere in Philly the plug went missing and chaos ensued. Thank goodness it went "out" not "in".
