12mm hex??? 10mm square? I always (as do others) use a 3/8 inch driver to open and close it. 0.375 x 25.4 = 9.525mm (which explains why it's a bit loose)
yeah , its a hex socket, used 1/2 drive to unscrew it . oh wait i think the fill plug was 10mm and the drain plug was 12mm.
