transmission fluid changed but.
Did the fluid change. It stopped maybe at 2.8 quarts on the oil pan. Put in two quarts, on the third bottle not all got in and some flowed out as the tranny seemed full.

Does this sound right?

is the car sitting level? IIRC, that seem about a quart less than I usually get in there.

Car was on jack stands but the car looked pretty leveled to me.

Where are you filling it from? I thought it was around 4 qts. I always fill mine through the speedo sensor hole, it should be about 1" below the hole.

Why's that? Just more convenient that the miserable excuse for a fill plug?

12mm hex??? 10mm square? I always (as do others) use a 3/8 inch driver to open and close it. 0.375 x 25.4 = 9.525mm (which explains why it's a bit loose)

Speedo hole is on top of the trans as apposed to the fill plug that is in the side of the trans. It is much easier to fill straight down than to the side. Plus I can easily check the level without fluid spilling out.
