moonroof stuck on halfway open
Hey guys, I took the headliner off to replace it but had not put it back on. Yesterday I was trying to open the moonroof and it stopped halfway. Is there a manual override to close it, or do i have to replace the motor assembly? Is there an adjustment to stop the motor at open and close? This is for a 92 sentra. I can hear the motor click when I pull the switch but no movement. Now I'm afraid to drive it in case it rains. I was thinking of just covering it up with plastic and duct tape but that wouldn't be proper, lol.

There is a manual override that u can close it. Also, u can try to pull it with your hand at the same time u r using the switch but be extremely gentle. That help some times to get it moving again.

Ok, i looked at the FSM and it showed a sunroof relay, which one is it? Is it one of those four blue ones below the steering wheel next to the fuses?

Is the motor making any noises? If yes, then is nothing electrical, it just stuck and will have to do it manually.

Thanks for the info guys. I took a look at above the switches and it looked like I could use a 5 or 6 mm allen wrench to crank it. I'll try that when I get home. I still think it's the relay because yesterday it moved like 2 inches before it stopped again. So the question about where the relay still stands. Just out of curiosity i plugged in that part number at courtesyparts and it's $27.60.

IIRC it is located behind the glove box to the right of the HVAC blower motor.
