Thread: I'm done with the sr20 game.

Well, this car is just a POS and got shit gas mileage as it was with 4 gears (21mpg) and now with the gas prices sky rocketing its going to be worse than a v8.. I was driving yesterday and got on the freeway and my "clutch" started to slip in 4th gear.. So I pull over and adjust the clutch out to make sure there is good enough freeplay in it. Well instead of having 1-1 1/2in free play I put it to have 3" or so of freeplay.. I drove it and all was fine and dandy then today I get in my car and get on the freeway and 4th gear is slipping again!!!! I thought the clutch was just hot or something so I switched to 3rd since I wasn't going very fast then back to 4th and wala its all good! So as I'm coming home I shift into 4th @ about 60 and the rpms just drop... wtf? I was thinking my car died or something... So I notice it was still idling and put it in 3rd and wtf? It works... Now not only do I not have 5th gear, I no longer have 4th gear either... I've never had problems with a car as much as this one and I just dropped 350 into it before this happened. Now I'm sitting with 300 in the bank and 3 gears. I tried looking for a transmission before but all of them had 5th gear pop out and now that I think of it its only a matter of time before the one with 5th gear has all the damn gears go out too. I drove my civic to shit and it held up stronger than this POS. It's extremely hard to find parts for it and if you do its way more expensive than that part for another car (1.6L for example) So I don't know where I'm going now buy I'm pretty SOL right now...

i have a b13 trans in pecies if you want man....i took it apart and didnt want to put it back,so its allll there. just needs asemling....all gears worked,i suggest just using the gears from it..

How much do you want for it shipped to 95315?

when i shipped a whole trans,ups it was like 70-80$....would you want the whole trans?

or parts?

like the gear set?
^^^^^^^^^^^ this would be cheaper to ship for sure. but if you want the whole trans its up to you....

I would prefer the whole transmission so I could piece it together and do a quick swap. How much would you want for it though on top of the 70-80?

120 sound cool?....i replaced it it came with my car....it started to make a weird whining noise so i opend it up to try and find out and fix wtf the problem was....once i opend it up i got a headache just looking at how confusing it looked lol

but the gears stacks are good,and for parts it should work well wuith you you might need...
