sorry guys i tried looking it up on the search but i couldnt find anything helpful but my ? is what is a sti muffler i know what sti stands for like the wrx but is that like a greddy muffler or what is it??

sorry if i didnt make any sence but i didnt know if yall were but the wrx sti factory mufflers on the b13s or what? i just wanted to make sure i was reading it right and what benefit is it to use one rather than a name brand and what about air flow?? thanx man

a aftermarket would be better depending on the design of the muffler you can run the sti, but it all depends on weather you make the diameter of the piping larger rather than just slap on a muffler and expect a gain, you need larger diameter piping from the cat back to actually see a gain

putting on a muffler is just going to effect the sound not the performance

yea i knew that i want a vrs catback some members say that the mufflers they supply are loud i want something kinda quiet

well if you want quiet and performance the best way is to make a custom exhaust that way you can choose the resonator and the muffler.

sometimes you will have to sacrafice flow for quiet, as maximum flow does tend to be on the louder side.

STI muffler is a muffler from a WRX STI. It's an oem muffler, so it was designed with quietness over performance in mind, just like any other OEM muffler.

STI muffler actually flows pretty exceptionally well for an OEM muffler. I love mine, it's plenty quiet, good enough performance.
