Yea the more I think about it, even though I am really sad about the forum, and everything....

We shouldn't be so rude.

When it all boils down in my mind, this is the plain fact, that pains me the most:

We are no longer going to be contributing to the community. While a small portion of the $$ will go into upkeep, any contributors $$ will get rationed out. I would much rather send my money to a hardworking sr20 enthusiast who will at least go get himself something for his B13

Dunno, but i think if we can get all the info we should just stay away from the old forum. Not even bother to complain, just tidy up this new place and make it as good. Eh?

I mean how awesome would it be if we can have our vendors allowed space yet not require them to pay $xxxx to sell here? Sure a small fee might be plausible but I think it is up to us to pay our dues to have the privilege to buy through them?

On the flip side some vendors _want_ to pay money. I'm more than willing to pay money to have places where I can talk to my customers. Lots of time the kind of support I (or other users, thanks guys!) can provide in a forum environment is better than what I can over the phone or via e-mail. The time it saves me is worth the money it costs me to keep a presence where my customers are. In the case of the SR20forum thats $600 a year, and thats very reasonable.

Wait, so you guys are advocating removal of our tech info from the site?

Part of me wants to leave it so it reaches a wider audience. The other part wants to remove it completely and put it here. What if I began a gradual process of moving it here and to my personal site, and deleted it from there after I reached that point?

Nevermind, I never "subscribed," so I still cannot edit my posts.
