^Yup. Melted. The original owner overheated the engine after the upper hose came off. She just kept driving till it died.
I agree the auto is slow as it never seems to be in the right gear. The only way to get some fun out of it is to floor it. Then there is some pull. But at close to $4.00 a gal I'm not doing that a lot these days...

It kind of reminds me of the cosmic gray pearl the Honda guys drool over. ET1 is a little more brown but close.

Mine is an auto too and I don't mind it terribly but the P10 feels like a featherweight these days. The P11 is looking leaner and leaner as well cars are just really heavy now.

This car changes color depending on the light conditions. Just look at the first three pictures. This evening my neighbor said "I didn't know your car was gray" Sure enough, it looked like a dark silver/gray this evening. I'm not a fan of dark colors but this color is growing on me...

I noticed on the new engine that the oil filter location is in a diff position and the on the inside of the car your climate control is digital mine is the same year (non "T") with the dial type is it hard to change?

Yeah, the oil filter is relocated to the bottom on my new JDM engine. It's a breeze to change now!!
As for the HVAC controls my P11 is the G20 "Luxury". There is also the "Touring". Being 5 speed yours might be the base model. Do you have leather or cloth? It came with the digital controls. To be honest I wouldn't bother with swapping them. I prefer a simple dial type as I like to change the temp in the car often and mine never seems to hold the temp right.

I relocated my oil filter to the high/low port location. I hate the one behind the engine. Always gets the axle and your sleeves dirty.

Digital climate control is overhyped, I miss the Sentra's manual controls. A lot easier to go from 80*F to 65*F with manual controls while driving . Also every time you turn of the hvac it goes back to default settings for fan speed and location.

Waaw just goes back to simplicity I guess, mine is cloth btw with no sunroof. How much better is RR motor?.

I think the RR is a much better motor for a daily, buy-the-car-and-never-mod-it driver.

It revs faster then the DE, has a lot more low end torque, but no high end, better gas mileage due to lighter crank and Loller Rockers.
