Ve +t with a t28?
Anyone here has a t28 gtir turbo setup on their ve?

I'm thinking that this turbo is a stock turbo and won't make sense on the ve. I should just hold out and go with something a bit bigger.

Or is it that this engine is a high compression that it's gonna be crazy cool with the t28?

And yes I will be upgrading the fuel system ect

Lots of people have run a t28 in various sizes on a stock ve motor.

Plenty of people here have or have had a Gti-R T28 turbo setup on their VE. I would suggest doing some general searching in the turbo section and also in the member's rides section. Spend some time scrolling through the pages of threads and I am sure you will find answers to any questions you have. If you have a specific question that you can't find an answer to, post up and ask.

As mentioned, it has and can be done with decent success. Whether or not it makes sense all depends on your power goals and your budget. If you are expecting big power on a stock engine with a stock turbo setup, you will be disappointed. A modest whp goal will suit a T28 just fine and you will have minimal turbo lag.

The SR20VE engine has a compression ratio of 10.3:1. It isn't really all that crazy but it generally considered high for a turbo build. With the tuning options out today, you will be just fine at that compression. It will make for a more efficient engine while out of boost. The key is not to skimp on tuning as there will be less of a margin for error vs a lower compression build such as 9:1.

Good stuff. A proper tune with lots of headroom in the fueling department will keep you safe.

Beyond that, I am the wrong person to throw any turbo related questions to. I do however promise you that there are a rediculous amount of answers to any questions you might have. Try searching for specific questions while you are searching.
