........And when you run it through the hood with no muffler, resonator, or sense

Just kidding

Took the car to the track last night to give it a shot on street tires before running it with slicks. Traction as I figured was a big issue. Tried setting the boost by gear but no matter how low in boost I went 1st through 4th. I went with 7psi for 1st and 2nd, 10psi in 3rd and 4th gear and then 13psi in 5th. This motor makes soo much torque that it just rips the tires apart with anything close to full throttle in any gear. Even 5th was breaking the tires loose at 120+mph. I absolutely love this setup and excited to see what it can do on slicks even as is. So far im on my own tune, very conservative. Leaned the a/f's out to 11.5:1 in boost and zero knock. No timing added in yet. It was basically throttle modulation every gear but 5th. Literally launching on 1/4 throttle and 1/4 throttle in 1st and 2nd. 1/2 throttle in 3rd and 4th. and then full throttle in 5th.

Here is the slip. I think I could have gotten it to an 11.7 or so with a perfect pass.

Next time out ill be on a better manifold and slicks. My manifold cracked again on the added on wastegate tube. Not only cracked but split wide open and barely hanging.

oh same 205/50/15 hankook ventus hr's Down to 13psi of pressure in the tires.

got a lot more in that setup. high comp and boost is the truth people need to start seeing that around here

what are you using to setup boost by gear? how does the controller know what gear you're in?

The ECU will take care of that since the ECU now only knows what gear its in, several other sensors (read: MAP sensor), will allow the input to be restricted to a certain output

et. al: The ECU sees gear, and limits boost based off MAP sensor setting/reading

Need an electronic boost controller; when the ecu knows speed and revs it can determine (when setup properly) what gear the car is in.

which ecu knows which gear you're in? Do we have a sensor that does that?

Yeah this setup isnt even being pushed. Lol. Just gotta go back to some 2000cc injectors as the 1000s are maxed. Yeah this high comp 2.2 is amazing. I love it.

Aem has boost by vehicle speed. I know what speeds are achieved in each gear so i base it off speed.
