Klassicrican is selling a set of Bogarts I believe.

Traps will be 138 or better on slicks same boost. Thats a lot of wasted time peddling and spinning. I 60 ft in the 1.58-1.6 range on slicks. That in itself should be a full second better.

Money on it sounds good. $20 works, ill send you my paypal address lol

I been through this many times also. At the same boost level (if it is trully under 18psi) on slicks will net no higher than 129-130.

Fought this battle back in 2008 with my full weight VET. 132mph on on street tires 127-128 once on slicks going from a 2.2 60' to a 1.7 @ 450whp

Just to make this clear, my car with 461whp went 132mph on slicks. More traction I had that night the quicker and faster I went. The whole spinning thing is only really realevant if you spin through 1st gear and maybe some of 2nd. Not every gear. With slicks I should have no problem putting the power down. Ive become very familiar with what power levels feel like. I can tell you right now this setup feels night and day stronger than 461whp felt like and with a much much fatter powerband and a shit ton more torque. Id love to get this setup as is on the dyno and see what it does.

The only thing im going to change is the boost by gear to accommodate the slicks. For these passes on street tires I had the boost all the way down to 7psi 1st and 2nd, ramped to 9-10 in 3rd and 4th, and then 13psi in 5th where I could full throttle it. My first passes I had it set to 12psi for every gear and blew the tires off every gear but 5th. Im thinking with the slicks I could put 7psi at it in 1st, 10psi 2nd and then 13-14psi every gear after. Ill make sure to log the pass that way you can genuinely see what the boost levels, revs, duty cycles, shift times and so on are. Just so you know I didn't up it. As of right now I cant go any higher than the 13-14psi peak as the injector duty is at 95% last log pull I did.

My 10:1 2.2 VET felt the same way. (Daxx's old block)

At 18psi on a GT3582R it felt like 25-27psi with the 9:1 2.0L.

When I strapped it on the dyno it did not make the same power as the 2.0 did at 25-27psi but it made almost 90ft lbs more Tq.

The large increase in TQ made it feel like that much more of a beast even making less HP.

Once I got above 20psi-22psi, the power started to take off and it killed the 2.0 for power.

The feeling of a high comp 2.2L turbo VE is like no other.

Hard to describe the feeling. Im sure the 12.5:1 on E85 is even more brutal

lol, thanks. I do what I can with what little funds I have. My goal for the night was to just get that 11 as I knew if I could pull off an 11 on my street tires that 10's should be easy streak on slicks. Now I have zero doubt on that. lol

What wheels are these Ashton?

Either way youre on buddy.

And yeah the high comp 2.2 is awesome. The torque is brutal for sure. But the top end even on this 12-13 psi is crazy. I know the sound sucked on the vid but how quickly it buried the speedo in 5th is insane.

Bring it to the convention Ashton. Seems like a lot of big boost cars will be there.
