That little plate bolts on with two 10mm bolts an prevents the oil from going into the tube that goes up to the head. I'm not saying it will prevent blowby if the rings aren't gapped right but i'm sure you will see more blowby than normal if it's not there. I gapped my rings pretty wide also and don't get much blowby even with my PCV valve not in place.
I'm sure it's not that big of a deal.

Its not spraying oil into the can and out the filter. Just some smoke/blowby gases. Nothng major.

No because i dont want to get soot all over my hood and window all the time and burn up my evo 8 vent. As much as I love the up pipe im just going to do a simple downpipe.

I know what you mean about the 6265 being jet engine loud. I use the 6266 on my DET (don't laugh at me guys, it works) and it is almost obnoxious loud. Very easy spooling turbo for the size though. And I love the manifold. Man that thing looks wicked.

I'm anxious to see some numbers with the PTE turbo.

what rpm does it hit with the DET? and what psi you run daily?


20psi before 5k. When my Turbosmart gate comes in I will run a 15lb spring daily. I love these turbos. I used a 5858 before the current turbo and loved it as well, just wanted more power.

I went back to std clearance bearings. Didnt like what the extra clearance bearings were doing to my oil pressure. Probably going to change the mains out as well.

A beautiful day here in Texas as well. Washed, waxed, and went out to my favorite road in the area to drive....About 15 miles of twists, turns, dips, banked turns, straights all out in the farm land. Gotta love it. Stopped in some of my favorite spots to take some pics. Couldnt resist.
