What were the rpms upon first turn of the key? Does the Idle Screw function now?

ok well it did still kinda stumble for a very split second but then shot right to 1500 with a quickness, let it sit like that for a minute then crawled out the driveway, didnt try to stall, creeped to the stop sign, it did go down to 600 for a second then right back to 1500 then settled at 1000. i haven't messed with the idle adjustment yet though. but i did notice my afr's were at 12.5-12.6 and it was idling smooth on startup, forgot to look at the aac % though.

After getting my iacv hooked back up the car fired up and idled a bit high for a bit then settled down to around 1k. Still running very very lean but at least it can cold idle, one problem sorted.

I just got a new install kit for a walbro pump as a friend suggested i take a look at the in tank filter sock. I had not thought about it until he mentioned it. with all of the climate change and being stored more than driven it is most likely the culprit to my running lean issues. It has not been looked at since 99 when i bought the nx and put the first turbo set up on it.

Sorry to thread jack a bit.

Any updates 93specv?

so back before i got my iacv working but after my injector swap i had to really decrease the fuel in the cranking tables to get the car to start up right. well now that the iacv's working, it was taking alot of cranks for the engine to start, once started it goes to 1400-1500 rpms then slowly goes down depending how cold it is outside, so i set the cranking tables back to what they were in the de.bin and now it fires up within a few cranks no matter what the temp is it just idles smooth and doesn't try to stall when i goto stop while the engines still cold.

Here's an idea I just had...since I built the motor I have always cut my own iacv gasket from the grey roll of paper fiber material. It's significantly thick in comparison to the OEM gasket. Could that possibly be an issue?

did you change the ecu/bin yet?

no that gasket paper should be fine

Yes I did have it Dyno tuned last Thursday. With a warm motor it was impossible to diagnose a cold motor issue. My tuner adjusted the same thing I've tried with no avail the next day. We didn't swap out Ecu's. Unfortunately with calum realtime the only cold idle adjustment is timing, not fuel. Regardless, that still wouldn't answer why I cannot adjust the idle speed.

Having had some boost issues at the Dyno, with some trouble shooting ahead, if the boost issues end up being my turbo I will eventually upgrade. At that point I will need another tune and most likely part with realtime. I don't foresee this idle crap being resolved anytime soon. I surely hope I don't need a turbo but worst case scenario, that will be my course of action. At that point I'll know whether it's the ecu or not.

At this point there really doesn't seem it can be anything else. I'd hate to think I got THE ONLY bunk ecu from calum, now out of business.

Can you show the sensors log from your tune?

What exactly do you want to see?
