I chose to stick with the std size and had the pistons coated so I could get the piston to wall clearance where i wanted it. these pistons also will clear the over sized valves.

Yeah its cheap insurance. The valve reliefs are huge and did not leave a ton of material on the crown. I have also heard that people can't get the piston to wall clearance tight with the std size piston. I fixed both issues with the swain coating. I checked my pistons when they came back and they measured in the grade 2 range.

Have you measured what they weigh now that they are coated? Just curious.

Oh Now I see, i was under the impression that these were OEM SR20VET pistons + coatings.
So these would resist even more abuse than an off the shelf cp piston, how much boost are they going to see?

I am trying to keep the boost @24psi or less if I can help it. Will be running pump gas with water/meth injection.

pistons are back
mine just got back from swain tech. CP VE turbo std 86mm ,9,0,1cr
gold coating on top (good for nitrous apps),pc-9 skirts
