Thread: no fuel??

hey guys so ive been running into this problem on and off ever since i upgraded to a gt28rs, z32maf, subie 520s, and jwt ecu. heres the thing. at first i thought that my fuel pump was on its way to taking a dump. the car would start sometime and would just crank other times. it was a hit or miss untill i finally hit a big pot hole about 2 weeks ago and it shut off and wont turn back on.. i finally had time to work on it. i first checkd the fuel pump kill switch i had hookd up and it was fine. then i pulled the fuel pump itself and checkd it straight with the battery and it turnd on fine. it seems like the fuel pump itself isnt getting power, ive checkd the fuse in the dash and its fine also. is there another fuse for the fuel pump? im actually starting to think its the jwt ecu. is there a way to check it?

Also check all the plugs coming off the ecu. One of them is for the fuel pump. It might be loose.

yes. Theere are like 2-3 plugs coming off the harness right by the ECU plug. One of those controls the fuel pump.

they are right under the dash in the middle by the ecu. If you go by your ecu look up into the dash and there should be 2 white plugs hanging out there and you have to make sure they are connected.

the ecu has a driver for the fuel pump that also runs to a relay in the engine bay and there is also a fuse under the dash. start from the ecu side and trace it back.

so there is a relay in the engine bay? i need to find that.. anyone have a pic of it? i checkd the harness by the ecu and its connected..

took the words out of my mouth, check your relay. When they get older, they start to get hot and lose connection. Just had this problem with my eccs relay.

where is this relay?

The fuel pump is controlled by the cam pos sensor, the ecm reads this and sends or stops signal to the fuel pump relay, the relay is what controls the fuel pump.
